The Chapelaires Biographies
You may copy and paste the biography text to use for promoting your concert or event.
David Jackson the manager and bass singer for the Chapelaires started the group in 1970. Originally the group was a male quartet but many individuals have ministered with David over the years. Throughout the years the main purpose of the Chapelaires has been to introduce people to their Saviour, Jesus, and to encourage Christians who have become discouraged as they walk through storms and valleys in their lives. The message of their songs always focuses on the fact that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and through Him we can find Forgiveness, Hope and Strength for whatever we face in this life.
The Chapelaires sing primarily in concerts at churches, parks and campgrounds in Southwestern Ontario, and occasionally in Michigan. They have appeared on 100 Huntley Street and have nine recordings. They will be recording their tenth album in January 2005.
Over the years the Chapelaires have ministered with many special Canadian friends such as Kingsway Quartet, The Torchmen, Sure Foundation, The Hiltons, Glad Tidings Quartet, Middle Cross, The Watchmen, The Vicounts, The Nations and many others. They have also had the privilege of singing in the past, with American friends such as the Dixie Melody Boys, The Speers, The Hemphills and The Bishops.
The Chapelaires quartet is made up of Larry Steeves, Myrna Hand and Sheila and David Jackson. They all love the Lord and sing for His Glory. Please take time to read their biographies to get to know them a little better. Better still, attend one of their concerts and meet them in person. They always look forward to meeting new friends and renewing acquaintances.
